Title One owns Lubbock’s only fully digital title plant. What is a title plant you may ask? A title plant is the real estate records database from which we pull all examination evidence. Every title company either owns one or has access to one. Most title plants simply have thousands of books that contain information as to where to find the documents in the county clerk’s office necessary for examination. This requires a trip to the clerk’s office to pull and copy every document needed for examination. Then it’s back to the title office to get the evidence to the examiner to examine. It is not hard to see why this process can take days or weeks to do. This is not the case with Title One. Every relevant document affecting real estate in the Lubbock County Clerk’s office is digitally scanned into our title plant for immediate viewing – over 5 million documents and counting.
Title Commitments in 24 Hours
Our fully digital title plant allows us to pull examination evidence, examine the evidence and produce a title commitment in 24 hours. What does this mean to you? This gives us a much larger window to handle any curative issues the title search may uncover. This means your real estate transactions close on your schedule, not ours. It also gives us the ability to close your transaction much more quickly than other title companies. Got a cash deal? We can do a same day close in many instances.
